Homeschool Community Love
Southern Henna takes great pride in giving back to its homeschool community. The biggest reason why Southern Henna was created is so that Shawna, Southern Henna’s founder, could homeschool her sons full-time.
This comes to no surprise to many since Shawna’s Bachelor’s degree is in Child and Family Development, and she has 8+ years of childcare experience. She was jokingly nicknamed Mother Goose because of her natural instincts to care for and manage a group of kids.

Not only does Southern Henna help fund its founder’s sons’ homeschooling journey, but it also gives back to its local homeschool community through donations, time, and services.
Shawna’s commitment to homeschool education for her sons has been paramount to Southern Henna’s success. It’s the catalyst behind her hard work and is why Southern Henna is a huge supporter of early childhood education and homeschool education.
We love the kids!
